Job Description

As a Chart Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in our healthcare facility. Your role will involve handling patient information, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting our medical team with essential documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain patient files and records.
  • Ensure all patient records are accurate and complete.
  • Process requests for medical records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist with data entry and administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Support staff with the retrieval and management of health data.
  • Conduct regular checks to maintain the integrity of records.
  • Prepare reports related to patient data as needed.
  • Train new staff on record management protocols.
  • Update records in line with new guidelines and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
