Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Melbourne pharmacy. This role involves collaborating with the pharmacist to ensure that patients receive their medications correctly and safely. You will manage inventory levels, assist customers with inquiries, and ensure that our pharmacy operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy before dispensing.
• Communicate effectively with patients concerning their medications.
• Assist in managing the inventory, ensuring that drugs are well-stocked.
• Support the pharmacist by entering data into the pharmacy management system.
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Ensure all medications comply with legal and safety standards.
• Participate in pharmacy events and health campaigns.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient service.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Pharmacy

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
