Job Description

Join our team as a Police Identification and Records Officer, where you will use your skills in forensic analysis to aid in criminal investigations. You will be responsible for collecting evidence and ensuring its integrity throughout the legal process.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in systematic collection and processing of physical evidence.
  • Ensure rigorous documentation of evidence through photography for future reference.
  • Perform detailed analysis of materials through chemical and physical methods.
  • Maintain strict protocols for evidence storage to uphold its integrity.
  • Draft comprehensive reports based on analytical findings for law enforcement review.
  • Collaborate closely with forensic teams to strengthen crime investigations.
  • Regularly participate in training to stay current with forensic methodologies.
  • Execute all tasks while maintaining chain of custody standards.
  • Testify as an expert witness in court regarding evidence findings.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in forensic science, chemistry, biology, or related field
  • Certification in forensic science or related discipline is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in either forensic laboratory or as a Crime Scene Investigator
