Job Description

As a Prepress Technician, you'll play a critical role in the printing process. You're responsible for preparing lithographic plates, ensuring accurate registration and colour intensity on various projects. Collaborating closely with graphic designers, you'll review job orders and artwork, translating concepts into visually stunning prints. Your attention to detail and technical skills will guarantee the highest quality standards throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lithographic plates to ensure both quality and efficiency in printing.
• Operate printing equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct final inspections of printed materials to meet client specifications.
• Engage with designers and provide technical input on print feasibility.
• Handle the calibration and maintenance of printing machinery.
• Manage deadlines and workflow to ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborate with suppliers for materials and equipment needs.
• Monitor production rates and adjust for optimal performance.
• Oversee training for new technicians on equipment and processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Higher qualification in Graphic Design or Printing

Experience

• Proven experience in the printing industry, ideally in a prepress role.

Languages
