Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Roll Coverer to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering and finishing rollers used in various industries, ensuring that they meet the exact specifications of our clients. This hands-on role requires precision and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare rollers for recoating according to specifications.
• Work collaboratively with other production staff to achieve operational goals.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on rollers when needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
• Stay updated on product specifications and changes in production methods.
• Train new team members on safe and effective roll covering practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• Previous experience in a mechanical or manufacturing role preferred

Experience

• Strong advantage for candidates with experience in roller covering or similar processes.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of coating materials
• Equipment operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with hand and power tools: Familiarity with using tools such as grinders and lathes in a safe manner.
• Exposure to various manufacturing environments: Experience in different manufacturing settings will be an advantage.
