An Emergency Vehicle Dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating prompt emergency responses. You will leverage your quick thinking and multitasking skills to manage emergency calls and ensure essential services reach those in need efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming emergency calls and gather necessary details.
  • Direct appropriate emergency services to the scene promptly.
  • Communicate with responders and relay critical information.
  • Document all calls and responses accurately.
  • Assist emergency responders with ongoing support during critical situations.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Engage with other emergency services for effective coordination.
  • Track response times and propose enhancements where needed.
  • Contribute to refining emergency service protocols.
  • Attend continuous education and training programs to stay updated.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational qualification in emergency services dispatch is preferable
Experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in emergency services or call center environment
Technical Skills
  • Emergency services dispatch software

Languages
