Job Description

As a Fish and Game Warden, you will be at the forefront of enforcing wildlife protection laws in New South Wales. Your role will involve patrolling diverse habitats, conducting investigations into wildlife crimes, and engaging with the community to promote conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols in assigned areas to protect wildlife.
  • Investigate and report on wildlife incidents and illegal activities.
  • Manage existing conservation projects and develop new initiatives.
  • Deliver educational sessions to schools and community groups.
  • Collaborate with local governments and NGOs on wildlife initiatives.
  • Utilise GIS and database management systems for tracking wildlife populations.
  • Maintain law enforcement equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and the Department of Wildlife Conservation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
  • Advanced qualifications in conservation are advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wildlife law enforcement or related fields
