Job Description

In the role of Fire Prevention Bureau Captain, you will spearhead fire prevention initiatives to safeguard our community. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to fire safety laws, performing detailed inspections, and delivering fire safety education programmes to schools and community groups. This leadership position is crucial in promoting fire safety awareness and strategies effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee fire prevention programs and initiatives across the region.
  • Conduct regular inspections of commercial and residential premises to identify fire hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and codes.
  • Develop and implement effective fire prevention plans and strategies.
  • Lead and manage a team of fire prevention officers and support staff.
  • Organise and deliver comprehensive fire safety education programmes to various community groups.
  • Investigate the causes of fire incidents and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current fire prevention techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other emergency service agencies and government departments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide updates on fire prevention activities.
  • Enhance community engagement through workshops and training sessions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field
  • Advanced certifications in fire safety and prevention are highly desirable
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in fire prevention and safety, including supervisory roles
