As a Port Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of port operations by conducting thorough surveys of ports and harbours. You will assess navigational conditions and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare surveys, reports, and technical documentation as required.
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Facilitate training for junior surveyors and interns.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to surveying methods and technologies.
  • Engage with broader maritime community through conferences and seminars.
Job Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in marine or civil engineering, geomatics, or surveying.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Surveying Techniques Proficient in various surveying methods and techniques.
  • GIS Software Experienced in GIS applications for data analysis and mapping.
  • AutoCAD Solid understanding of AutoCAD for technical drawings.
  • Analytical Thinking Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
  • Communication Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Team Collaboration Ability to work effectively in teams towards common goals.
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • First Aid Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with Remote Sensing Software: Experience with LiDAR and SONAR technologies for surveying.
  • Previous Work in High-pressure Environments: Experience working in fast-paced and demanding settings.
