We are looking for a dedicated Veterans Adviser who will provide personalised support and guidance to veterans as they transition to civilian life. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of veteran benefits and be able to navigate healthcare systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and address veterans' specific needs for support.
• Guide veterans through the benefits application process.
• Connect veterans with healthcare providers and mental health resources.
• Coordinate workshops focused on skill development and job readiness.
• Engage with community organisations to enhance service delivery.
• Document all interactions with veterans accurately and confidentially.
• Remain informed about local, state, and federal veteran benefits.
• Promote awareness of available resources through community outreach.
• Facilitate support groups for veterans and their families.

Advantageous

• Prior military service or experience in the armed forces: Understanding of military culture and the challenges faced by veterans.
• Experience in case management or advocacy: Experience directly assisting clients in navigating complex systems.
