Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee microbiological testing processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Actively participate in public health initiatives and community education programs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance laboratory knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure compliance with biosafety regulations and laboratory safety standards.
  • Coordinate with interdepartmental teams to facilitate data sharing and collaboration.
  • Lead training sessions for staff on new laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Public Health Microbiology is desirable
  • Microbiological Techniques Proficient in advanced microbiological testing and laboratory techniques.
  • Data Analysis Software Skilled in statistical analysis tools such as SPSS and R.
  • Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail while conducting laboratory work.
  • Effective Communication Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams.
  • English (Fluent)

  • Molecular Diagnostic Techniques: Experience with PCR and other molecular biology techniques.
  • Outbreak Investigation Experience: Previous involvement in managing and investigating outbreak responses.
