Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Technologist and Technician, you will play a vital role in performing ECG tests and assisting healthcare professionals in diagnosing cardiac conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of test results while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ECG tests according to established protocols.
• Interpret ECG results and report findings to medical staff.
• Ensure accuracy in patient records and assist in maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide patient education on cardiac health and ECG procedures.
• Support cardiologists in diagnostic processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the testing environment.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of junior technicians.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Cardiac Technology or equivalent.
• Certification in Electrocardiography.
• Registration with AHPRA.

Experience

• 2+ years in a clinical environment with ECG experience.

Technical Skills

• Holter Monitoring Proficiency
• Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Echocardiography: Ability to perform and interpret echocardiograms.
• Knowledge of Pacemaker Technology: Understanding of pacemaker operations and maintenance.
