Job Description

As an Orthopedic Boot and Shoe Designer, you will create innovative footwear that addresses the specific orthopedic needs of our patients. Your role will involve collaboration with healthcare professionals and the use of advanced design software to ensure the final products meet quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create custom designs for orthopedic footwear that cater to specific patient needs.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to integrate medical insights into the design process.
  • Manage design projects from ideation through to final production.
  • Produce sketches and detailed designs for new footwear concepts.
  • Ensure that all footwear complies with quality and safety standards.
  • Utilize modern technologies such as 3D printing for rapid prototyping.
  • Conduct fittings and assessments of prototype footwear.
  • Document design processes and maintain project records.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current on advances in orthopedic design.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote innovative footwear solutions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification would be an asset
Experience
  • 3-5 years of specialized experience in orthopedic footwear design
