Gear Inspector

Job Description

As a Gear Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing gears and related components to ensure they meet stringent quality and safety standards. This vital role requires keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems. You will collaborate closely with the production and engineering teams to maintain high product standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gears and gearboxes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document any defects or non-conformities.
• Provide feedback to the production team to enhance product quality.
• Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up-to-date.
• Assess and refine existing quality control practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Support the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Utilize analytical skills to resolve inspection-related challenges.
• Adapt to changing manufacturing practices and technology advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
• Certification in NDT techniques is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in gear inspection or related field is required.
