Job Description

As a Construction Manager based in Darwin, you will be responsible for overseeing various construction projects from inception to completion. This role entails managing site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met on schedule. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards, while also maintaining budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities.
  • Work closely with clients to ascertain their needs and requirements.
  • Review and approve contractors and subcontractors' work.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the terms of the contract.
  • Implement safety programs and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor budget and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review project progress and address challenges.
  • Manage risk and ensure that potential problems are addressed proactively.
  • Cultivate relationships with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all site activities and communications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
