Job Description

As a Gas Brazer, you'll be pivotal in our metal fabrication team, ensuring metal parts are joined with precision. Your expertise in operating gas brazing equipment will be crucial in crafting quality products that meet industry standards. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of safety protocols in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brazing equipment according to project specifications.
• Clean and prepare metal surfaces for efficient brazing.
• Monitor equipment settings and adjust as needed for proper heat application.
• Conduct inspections of finished products for defects.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area to promote safety.
• Provide assistance to junior brazers and trainees.
• Report on production metrics and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Australian Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication or relevant field

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in gas brazing or metal fabrication

Technical Skills

• Gas brazing techniques
• Blueprint reading

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Welding certification: Certification in welding techniques and safety standards.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations: Understanding of workplace safety laws and practices.
