Job Description

We are after a highly organized and detail-oriented Cash Office Worker to join our finance team in Melbourne. This role involves managing cash transactions, preparing daily cash reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and refresh cash register floats, ensuring all cash handling adheres to company protocol.
  • Track discrepancies and support investigations to resolve cash management issues.
  • Handle special cash-related requests from management effectively.
  • Train and onboard new cash office employees on policies and procedures.
  • Support the finance team in process improvements for cash management.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional accounting or bookkeeping certifications are an advantage.
Experience
  • Previous experience with cash office administration is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in using POS systems
  • Financial software knowledge
Soft Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
Languages
  • English: Fluent
