Job Description

The Gambling Surveillance Officer is tasked with investigating reports of illegal gambling activity while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Successful candidates will work closely with law enforcement, conduct investigations, and maintain up-to-date documentation on cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into gaming-related complaints and suspected violations.
• Analyze collected data to identify trends in illegal gambling activities.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies to facilitate investigations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to relevant authorities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance amongst gaming operators.
• Stay updated on changes in gambling laws and regulations.
• Provide training for gaming operators on compliance issues.
• Assist in auditing processes of gaming compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent illegal gambling activities.
• Attend relevant meetings and represent the organisation in discussions about gaming regulation.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Law or Criminal Justice is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investigations or regulatory compliance in the gaming sector.
