Job Description

The Fruit Receiver will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of fruits and vegetables by inspecting incoming shipments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our standards of freshness and quality, collaborating closely with suppliers and team members to guarantee timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and grade fruits according to size, colour, and quality.
  • Ensure correct handling and storage of produce to maintain freshness.
  • Maintain accurate records of fruits received and shipped.
  • Assist with inventory management and reporting.
  • Train new team members in proper receiving and inspection techniques.
  • Assist in the implementation of food safety audits and training.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss improvements.
  • Work with the logistics team to resolve any shipment issues.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Forklift operation
  • Inventory management software

Certifications
  • Valid forklift operator license (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
