Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Mechanical Drafter who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CAD software and experience in producing intricate technical drawings for mechanical systems. As a key player in our engineering team, you will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that all designs are accurate and compliant with industry standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail are essential as you’ll be responsible for revising and modifying designs as needs arise. Your contribution will play a crucial role in propelling our innovative projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce accurate 2D and 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and timelines.
• Document and report on design progress and challenges.
• Conduct design verification checks and quality assurance on drawings.
• Assist in creating design prototypes and mock-ups for testing.
• Review project specifications to ensure all drafting meets required standards.
• Provide recommendations for design improvements based on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years' relevant experience in mechanical drafting

Technical Skills

• 3D Modeling Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with drafting standards and procedures: Understanding of AS standards and other relevant guidelines.
