Job Description

As a Geoscientist, you will play a key role in conducting geological surveys and analyzing data to identify potential areas for resource exploration. Your expertise will guide our decisions on where to invest in mining operations, ensuring that we maximize our exploration success while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead geological mapping and sampling efforts across designated areas.
• Evaluate geophysical and geochemical data to refine exploration strategies.
• Assist in planning and executing drilling programs in collaboration with drilling engineers.
• Compile and analyze data to produce resource estimation models.
• Review and assess exploration assumptions and methodologies regularly.
• Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local policies.
• Mentor and train junior team members in geological processes.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to communicate findings effectively.
• Contribute to the bidding process for exploration leases and contracts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Geology is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of direct experience in geological exploration

Languages

• English: Fluent
