Machinist

Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Machinist who will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing various mechanical equipment, including engines and machinery. The successful candidate will also conduct routine maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble and commission various types of industrial machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams for customer satisfaction.
• Meet project deadlines and communicate any delays to the Installation Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting or similar
• Certificate IV in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter trade) or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Machinist or in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Experience with CNC machines
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with preventative maintenance programs: Knowledge in preventive strategies for machine upkeep.
• Ability to work on large, complex machinery: Hands-on experience with high-scale mechanical systems.
