Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hand Sewer with experience in the apparel industry to join our creative team. You will play a key role in developing and refining garments to meet design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand sewing and finishing on various apparel items.
• Engage with the design team for effective product transformations.
• Ensure the operational readiness of all sewing equipment.
• Conduct thorough quality control checks on all garments produced.
• Influence product development with your sewing insights.
• Support the training of new team members in sewing techniques.
• Incorporate feedback from quality checks to improve craftsmanship.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sewing workspace.
• Collaborate on production schedules to balance workloads.
• Report any production issues to ensure immediate resolution.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in Garment Construction is an asset

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in garment sewing and finishing techniques

Technical Skills

• Hand Sewing Techniques
• Fabric Knowledge

• Problem Solving
• Communication Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with fashion design software: Experience with tools like Adobe Illustrator or similar design programs.
