Printing Press Operator

Job Description

As a Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials including books, magazines, and brochures. You will work closely with a team of skilled technicians in a modern printing facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate printing machines based on job specifications.
• Conduct quality checks during the printing process to maintain high standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or print quality.
• Ensure that printed materials are packaged correctly for distribution.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with production team members to ensure timely job completion.
• Document machine maintenance and repair activities.
• Assist with training new staff on machine operation and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Printing and Graphic Arts
• Additional training or qualifications in digital printing is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the printing industry.

Technical Skills

• Digital printing expertise

Certifications

• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with both sheet-fed and web-fed printing presses: Versatility in operating various types of printing machinery.
