Equipment Technician

Job Description

As an Equipment Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the machinery and equipment are fully operational. You'll maintain, repair, and install a variety of equipment alongside a dedicated team that values safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting for various equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Help implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Document maintenance activities and outcomes in reports.
• Assist with machinery installation and set-up.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
• Train junior technicians and apprentices on maintenance protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic systems knowledge
• Welding and fabrication skills

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Current driver's license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift operation certification: Certification to operate forklifts in an industrial setting.
• Experience in preventive maintenance: Proven experience in implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
