Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging navigation training courses tailored to various skill levels.
• Evaluate and revise teaching methods based on student feedback and outcomes.

• Work closely with maritime industry professionals to enhance course materials.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior instructors and trainees.
• Promote a safety-first culture in all aspects of navigation training.
• Utilize modern teaching tools and technologies to enhance learning.
• Participate in community outreach programs related to maritime safety education.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Marine navigation or related fields preferred

Experience

• Proven experience delivering training to maritime industry personnel.

Technical Skills

• Online learning management systems (e.g. Blackboard, Moodle)

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating vessels of different types and sizes: Hands-on experience on various maritime vessels.
