Job Description

As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they meet industry regulations and standards. Your expertise will be crucial to maintaining safety across various properties, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and testing of fire alarm systems according to industry regulations.
• Document findings and make recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspections, tests, and maintenance on systems.
• Engage in ongoing training to remain proficient with new technologies and standards.
• Promote fire safety awareness through effective communication.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest safety standards.
• Report directly to the Fire Protection Manager with updates and findings.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance documentation for various fire safety systems.
• Support project management deliverables as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualifications in fire safety or related fields.

Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in a relevant field, preferably in fire safety inspections.

Technical Skills

• Inspection equipment

• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• CCTV and Access Control Knowledge (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Sales/Customer service experience: Ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding fire safety.
• Knowledge of Australian fire safety regulations: Deep understanding of the compliance framework for fire safety.
