Our Melbourne-based rawhide manufacturing company is on the lookout for a skilled Rawhide Trimmer. In this role, you will be responsible for trimming and shaping rawhide with precision, ensuring high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in rawhide or leather processing, coupled with a keen eye for detail and strong manual skills. Responsibilities

• Trim rawhide materials to exact specifications and standards.
• Conduct quality checks on rawhide products before they proceed to the next phase of production.
• Work with various trimming tools while maintaining high safety standards.
• Identify and rectify any imperfections in rawhide before finishing.
• Keep work area well-organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely production runs.
• Implement best practices for rawhide trimming to improve efficiency.
• Report any discrepancies in production to the management team.
• Maintain a positive and productive work atmosphere by supporting team goals.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in leatherworking will be beneficial

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in leather processing

Technical Skills

• Precision Trimming
• Trimming Tools Operation

Certifications

• Leatherworking Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
