Welding Setter

Job Description

The Welding Setter is responsible for ensuring that welding machines are set up correctly to produce high-quality welds. This role involves working with various materials, including metals and plastics. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in welding processes and technical expertise in machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and configure welding machines based on job requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Follow production schedules and adjust machine settings accordingly.
• Train and mentor junior welders on best practices and safety protocols.
• Document production processes and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimise processes.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Welding)
• Any additional relevant qualifications is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years in a welding production environment

Technical Skills

• Robotic Welding
• Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Forklift License (desirable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
