Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Logging Equipment Operator to manage and operate heavy machinery in our forestry operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest safety and environmental standards are maintained while maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of logging equipment.
• Ensure adherence to environmental sustainability practices within logging operations.
• Assist in the coordination of harvesting plans and resource allocation.
• Train and mentor junior operators in equipment handling and safety.
• Report machinery malfunctions and coordinate repairs promptly.
• Assist with data collection on logging metrics for performance evaluation.
• Work collaboratively with other forestry and harvesting teams.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Forestry or similar relevant qualification

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in logging operations

Technical Skills

• GIS Software Proficiency
• Logistics Management

Certifications

• Heavy Vehicle License
• Logistics Management Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
