Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Urban Planner to join our team in Canberra. You will be responsible for crafting comprehensive urban policies and plans that align with community needs and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for city design and a passion for sustainable development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urban planning projects from conception to implementation.
  • Consult with architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
  • Promote sustainable development practices in urban planning.
  • Review geographic information systems (GIS) data to inform planning decisions.
  • Prepare documentation for submissions to planning committees.
  • Assess and mitigate the environmental and social impacts of developments.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in urban planning
