Printing Press Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Printing Press Operator to join our dynamic printing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare screens, inks and other necessary materials for production.
• Set up printing jobs based on client specifications and verify accuracy.
• Continuously monitor ink viscosity and adjust as required to maintain print quality.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for each print job.
• Assist in managing inventory of inks and supplies, notifying management when replenishments are needed.
• Follow industry trends and maintain knowledge of new techniques and materials.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
• Support management in achieving business targets and objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III or IV in Printing and Graphic Arts or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a screen printing press operator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Large Format Printing: Hands-on experience with large format printers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Strong understanding of workplace safety relating to printing processes.
