Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator

Job Description

Join our team as an Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator! In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining farming equipment, performing daily inspections, and supporting our farm operations in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery, including tractors and harvesters, to support farm operations
• Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is in good working order
• Report any mechanical issues to the Farm Manager promptly
• Assist in the implementation of farming schedules and plans
• Follow all health and safety protocols during equipment operation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective workflow
• Contribute to farm maintenance and improvement projects
• Assist with crop management activities as required

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but relevant certifications in diesel mechanics or farming operations is desirable

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating diesel tractors and farming equipment

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with precision agriculture technologies: Knowledge of GPS systems and other farming technologies.
