Job Description

As a Laboratory Apparatus Glass Blower, you will play a vital role in the production and repair of laboratory glassware essential for scientific research. You will collaborate closely with scientists and researchers to innovate designs and ensure all products meet stringent quality standards. Your craftsmanship will directly support the success of research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and repair laboratory glass apparatus and equipment.
  • Operate precision tools to create custom glassware designs.
  • Maintain quality control throughout the glassblowing process.
  • Assist in training junior staff on glassblowing techniques.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor and order supplies to ensure production continuity.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship or formal training in glass blowing or relevant field
Experience
  • Experience working with scientific glassblowing equipment is advantageous.
