Job Description

The Sustainable Communities Designer will play a crucial role in creating vibrant and sustainable communities. This role involves engaging with community members and stakeholders to develop designs that enhance the quality of life while considering environmental impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of community needs and aspirations.
  • Design master plans that reflect sustainability principles.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure community input is prioritized in designs.
  • Lead workshops and community meetings to foster collaboration.
  • Prepare detailed reports and visualisations for project presentations.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and policies affecting community design.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure design feasibility.
  • Implement feedback from stakeholders into final design proposals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Studies
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience focusing on sustainable community design
