Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to play a key role in managing financial data, forecasting financial trends, and supporting the financial planning process. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience in budgeting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse historical financial data and create financial reports.
• Develop detailed financial models for project evaluation.
• Collaborate with finance management to refine budgetary processes.
• Identify and communicate financial risks to the leadership team.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Provide financial insights on performance and investments.
• Support special projects and initiatives as directed by management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Master's degree in Business Administration is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or corporate finance

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel Skills
• SQL Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Team Player

Certifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in statistical analysis software: Experience with tools such as SAS or SPSS for data analysis.
• Knowledge of financial regulations: Understanding of Australian financial regulations and compliance requirements.
