Job Description

As a Durable Medical Equipment Technician (DME Tech), you will play a vital role in ensuring that medical equipment operates effectively to support healthcare delivery. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various durable medical equipment in both hospital and home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues with durable medical equipment.
• Implement training programs to enhance the skills of healthcare staff regarding equipment usage.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized following safety protocols.
• Keep up to date with advancements in medical equipment technology to apply best practices.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance checks for all equipment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited DME technician training program
• Certification as a DME technician is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working as a DME technician.
