Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process within our Melbourne facility. Your expertise in operating and maintaining electric melting equipment will be fundamental to the efficient refining of metals. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all equipment functions correctly and meets safety standards. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of metal properties, ensuring that we achieve optimal results in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric furnaces to melt high-quality metals for production.
• Monitor and report any defects or abnormalities in the melting process.
• Adjust furnace settings to align with production specifications.
• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure materials meet industry standards.
• Take part in safety drills and training as required.
• Document processes and updates for compliance and procedural audits.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members in operational tasks.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in metallurgy or machinery is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in operating electric melting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
