Job Description

As an Animal Caretaker, you will provide expert advice on pet care and nutrition, ensuring the well-being of various species. You will assist in the daily care and maintenance of animals, develop care programs, and foster a nurturing environment for pets.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor pets' health, giving recommendations to owners.
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans.
• Perform vaccinations, nail trims, and hygiene grooming.
• Document interactions and health histories accurately.
• Help develop and implement care programs for pets.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the facility.
• Work collaboratively with a team of pet groomers, trainers, and veterinarians.
• Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Animal Studies or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a pet care environment
