Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for elementary students to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide differentiated instruction in a supportive environment that caters to each student's unique needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths and needs.
  • Create IEPs that address academic and emotional goals.
  • Develop strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one instruction as necessary.
  • Coordinate with classroom teachers for tailored support.
  • Track and report students' progress to inform instructional adjustments.
  • Engage in professional development to stay current in best practices.
  • Foster strong communication with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Help create a positive, nurturing classroom culture.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Teaching certification in special education
  • Current CPR and first aid certification
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with special needs
