Food Preparation Workers

Job Description

We are seeking energetic Food Preparation Workers who are keen to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, ensuring that all meals meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
• Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and safe for consumption.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organised at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the Head Chef to ensure timely preparation.
• Participate in inventory management and assist in food ordering.
• Support teammates during busy shifts to ensure efficiency in food service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
• Adapt to varying kitchen duties as required.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a kitchen hand or cook.

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Ability to work flexible hours: Willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
