Job Description

The Parole Director will be responsible for overseeing the management and supervision of parolees within the Australian criminal justice system. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure public safety, and providing support to parole officers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the team in implementing effective supervision strategies for parolees.
  • Engage with community partners to strengthen parolee reintegration.
  • Assess and optimize the operational efficiency of parole programs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to parole officers in their roles.
  • Review and ensure adherence to legal standards and ethical practices in parole management.
  • Coordinate training sessions for staff to improve service delivery.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes for parole staff.
  • Conduct data analysis for informed decision-making in parole management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice or Social Work is preferred
Experience
  • Extensive experience in management roles within the criminal justice system is required.
