Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator (RPA Operator)

Job Description

As an RPA Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate remotely piloted aircraft for diverse applications including commercial, industrial, and government sectors. The role demands a high level of expertise in RPA operations and a solid understanding of aviation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute safe and efficient flights of remotely piloted aircraft for data acquisition and imaging.
• Document and report any incidents or issues related to drone operations.
• Capture high-quality images and data using advanced cameras and sensors.
• Analyse collected data using specialised software.
• Maintain accurate records of flight activities.
• Educate clients on drone capabilities and potential applications.
• Support marketing efforts by showcasing drone services and capabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant aviation certification (e.g. Remote Pilot License issued by CASA)
• Higher qualifications in Aviation, Engineering, or related disciplines

Experience

• 5+ years in RPA operations or similar field.

Technical Skills

• Experience with RPA control software
• Data processing software expertise

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Strong organizational skills

Advantageous

• Knowledge of current and emerging RPA technologies: Familiarity with the latest advancements in drone technology and applications.
• Experience in training and support of RPA technicians and pilots: Background in educating individuals in drone operations and maintenance.
