Job Description

As a Railway Switchman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains. This position involves operating and maintaining railway switch systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the operations of railway switches and signals.
  • Work closely with other railway personnel to coordinate train movements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of railway switch systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of switch operations and any maintenance performed.
  • Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks during train operations.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to carry out repairs and maintenance.
