Job Description

As a Corrections Lieutenant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our facility. Your responsibilities will include overseeing correctional staff, maintaining inmate security, and ensuring adherence to institutional policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of correctional officers in maintaining facility operations.
• Evaluate and approve daily security and safety protocols.
• Ensure timely and proper handling of inmate disciplinary actions.
• Facilitate training and development for correctional staff.
• Review and assess the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs.
• Conduct staff meetings to update on facility policies and promote a positive work culture.
• Engage with inmates to promote a rehabilitative environment.
• Respond to emergencies and manage crisis situations as they arise.
• Collaborate with external agencies regarding inmate management and rehabilitation.
• Create a culture of respect and rehabilitation within the facility.

Advantageous

• Experience with rehabilitation programs: Hands-on experience in developing and implementing programs aimed at inmate rehabilitation.
• Prior supervisory experience: Demonstrated experience leading teams in correctional settings.
