Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Whyalla. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems and have hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance in a manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our equipment operates at peak efficiency, whilst also collaborating with other departments to enhance production processes and output.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize mechanical processes for efficiency.
• Conduct training sessions for staff regarding equipment usage.
• Prepare reports on mechanical operation performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
• Higher qualifications in engineering preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems within the manufacturing sector

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Systems Design
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Forklift Operator License
• Welding Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
