Job Description

As a Cloth Spreader at XYZ Textiles Pty Ltd, you will be at the core of our textile production process, responsible for preparing and laying out fabric materials for cutting and sewing. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that each piece is accurately measured and positioned for optimal efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in the textile industry and a passion for quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lay out fabric for cutting with precision and care to minimize fabric waste.
• Work closely with the cutting team to ensure smooth production processes.
• Monitor and report any issues with fabric quality to the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery.
• Train and mentor new staff on fabric spreading techniques.
• Conduct regular checks on machinery and equipment for maintenance purposes.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels and ordering materials as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Textile Production is preferred.

Experience

• Experience with automated fabric spreading machines is an advantage.
