Job Description

As a Boiler House Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing boiler systems in a variety of industrial settings. Your role will involve monitoring equipment, conducting safety checks, and ensuring the efficient operation of boilers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain boilers, pumps, and associated equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and operations.
  • Monitor and control equipment performance to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Participate in training and development programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Trade qualification in boilermaking
  • Electrical engineering qualification is an asset
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in boiler system maintenance and operations.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with HVAC systems
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Certifications
  • White Card
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with biomass and waste-to-energy combustion technology: Knowledge of alternative energy sources in the boiler operation.
