Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines to grind cylindrical or tapered metal workpieces.
• Examine technical drawings and specifications to determine grinding requirements.
• Perform grinding operations adhering to design tolerances for precision components.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and achieve production targets.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records of machine operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Train and mentor junior machine operators on best practices in grinding operations.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in machining or relevant field
• Certification in operating centerless grinding machines

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years operating centerless grinding machines
