Job Description

ABC Manufacturing is on the hunt for a skilled Layout Worker to set up and maintain production machinery for our metal and plastic products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, adhering to our high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks and calibrate machines as needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing machine maintenance schedules.
• Document production activities and report any anomalies to supervisors.
• Engage in problem-solving discussions with engineering staff to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in manufacturing or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in machine layout or related field

Technical Skills

• CNC Machine Operation
• Lean Manufacturing Principles

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Forklift License
• WHMIS Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Quality Control Software: Experience using software to track and manage production quality.
• Ability to Read Technical Drawings: Skill in reading technical drawings and schematics for machine setup.
